The other day I was stuck at work while the 49ers and Saints were playing and I would have forgotten about it except a friend from New Orleans pinged me on facebook about it. I couldn't stream it without forking over cash, so I went to the Sports Illustrated website and watched their play-by-play page. It was pretty exciting, actually! However, technology failed me at the last crucial moment and I missed the whole final touchdown. All of a sudden it was locked up at 4 seconds or something. Argh! Well, hopefully I will remember to watch this very crucial Giants/9ers game on Sunday. Football has been off my radar for a while, and I haven't been a 49ers fan since Joe Montana left. Go 9ers!!

I am faced with the prospect of moving for the first time in 15 years+. A little nerve-wracking but exciting. I am looking at an apartment in a neighborhood I know nothing about this afternoon. I'm not really even ready to move but I saw the ad and had to jump on it. We are kind of in limbo, since we don't really know when we'll get kicked out of our house or what's going on. I figure if I see something perfect, I have to take care of myself.
Also, I realize I don't have the bank of studly men with trucks I used to have. This will be interesting.

Sorry for the no posts - I get so busy at work!! We've been really busy here, although not the same kind of busy as this lovely couple.
My landlady is selling our house, which is both good and bad. I hate having people walking around in my space when I'm not home, but Abel does his best to keep an eye on things. Have to save lots of money in the next little while so I can find something good. I HATE moving!! Mike and Abel will befind ing theirh own place and I'll be finding mine - the end of a pretty long era.

THE GRAFENBERG SPOT
The look on this guy's face is priceless.
There are still those who don't believe in the G-spot or female ejaculation. My news is that there has been a perfume created around this mysterious fluid - and it costs a grand a bottle. And it is purple. I am connected enough in the perfume collector world that I might get to smell it someday - which I wouldn't mind doing, it being created by some very upscale noses. I do have to say that it is very aspirationally priced. Good luck to them.

I found baseball again and I'm so happy. All those years of Barry Bonds, strikes, home run fever, suing over balls, steroids... I feel like it's finally safe to go back in the water. I got my "real" hat out (meaning it is actually a size and not adjustable) with pins from the '89 Series on it, got a new sweatshirt. Found out you can get hoarse screaming from the comfort of your living room.Yay! Born again.

Sickie-poo this week - my first cold in a zillion years. Don't like.
I had a Western Images dream last night - it was about various music cds left behind in the suites. Some were Jimis' and some were JK's. Mark T was there to help me figure out some of the more mysterious things. I was playing something very Jimi.

It is oddly tropical here today - rather like Hawai'i in October. Kind of coolish, humidish, puffy cloudish. I've been listening to the Pandora "Contemporary Hawaiian Music" station and it is perfect. Then someone sends me a thing about airfare to Hawai'i being $330 round trip in the fall - and of course even though I make money now, it has all gone elsewhere and I can't take advantage. Sigh. Been a long time.
Speaking of Hawai'i, my chorus is performing at the DeYoung Friday June 11th at about 7 pm in the Koret theater. There will be hula, song, and chant in celebration of King Kamehameha day. Only $10 - free if you are member. Check it out, if only to see how nice my ass looks in my new mu'u-mu'u.

I love the sound of breaking glass.....
except when it is my car window.
Talk about an act of Good Samaritanism gone askew: I took home all of my hairdresser's towels to wash them for her - there were many, and several capes. She usually has someone come and do it for her, since she only has a bicycle, and has to have them washed at the laundromat. So I washed them and folded them and put the bag in the car. I don't live on a big crime street, so it never occurred to me that some idiot would break my window and steal the bag. We all had a bit of a laugh visualizing the WTF moment that thief must have had.
So, I saw some Mexican dudes for my window (I love the Mission and Yelp), went to Costco and got her some towels and some Nutella, and will give her back the discount she gave me on my hair, and reimburse her for the bag and more towels and whatever else I can do. She felt bad in the end because the guy she usually has do it really needs that little bit of money, so feels it is karmic retribution. I'm not sure what my karma was about on this one.
On the brighter side I scored a free desk on the street I can use in my new sewing studio.

I have spent the last few weeks training someone to be able to share my job with me and today he quit. Got a better-paying job. Pretty annoying, especially since this is a seriously difficult job to train someone in and I have been pretty exhausted. Good thing I had a day off yesterday, part of which I spent at the Academy of Sciences. Now it's back to square one, the drawing board, the beginning. At least I got some better insights on how to train someone, so not a total waste of time.

I've been working blissfully alone for 6 months, and that is coming to a partial end. We have hired someone to split their time between my building and the one in Berkeley, and I will be training him pretty full-time for several weeks. I will have to re-organize my office so it's not a bunch of piles that I know what is happening to. I am glad, because sometimes I am swamped, but also sad, because I like my little universe.

Last week my ptow entry was a massive FAIL thanks to the non-uploading capabilities of blogger. Oh well. You missed nothing.
Like our founder, TNSC Robot, my life is pretty boring, not because of kids and marriage but because I mainly work and then go home, or do the same extracurricular activities every week.
My big news is that I have had the MJ song "Rock With You" stuck in my head for 3 weeks.
Oh, and today I got my six-month review - passed with flying colors! Yay!
